We operate Boat Hire from Ballyknockan. Easily accessible by Bus and Car.

FAQ's:

Do I need any special licence to operate a boat? No - we give basic instruction in operation and safety.

Is the hire price quoted for the boat or per person? The price is for the boat.

Is this suitable for kids? Yes we cater for all ages and have lifejackets for babies up to adults. - Even Dogs!

Do you supply Fishing Permits? Yes.

Do you hire fishing rods? Yes

Do you supply bait? No but we do supply lures (spinners) with rod hire.

Do you provide lifejackets? Yes Lifejackets must be worn by everyone on board.

How many people can I have in a boat? We recommend a max of 3 for fishing but the boats are rated for 4 adults.

What should I wear? Be prepared for the weather bring warm windproof jackets in case you need them.

If my hire is cancelled due to bad weather do i have to pay anything? No

Is it suitable for Kids? - Yes we cater for all ages but we cannot take babies under 2 years of age.

Can we bring the dog? No - sorry but we do not allow dogs on the boats.

What is your cancellation policy? -

If we cancel for safety due to bad weather there is no charge.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance with no charge.

If you do not turn up and give no notice we will apply the full hire charge.

If I book but do not show up am I charged? Yes

Do you take a booking deposit? - Yes we take a €50 booking for each boat from your card which is non refundable unless we cancel the hire due to inclement weather or other possible safety factors.

. Myself and my three sisters had an absolutely fabulous day and evening on Blessington Lakes! The boat we got was a good sturdy one and all instructions were made very clear to us as well as being provided with life jackets!

Rented a lovely little boat for a day's fishing and got myself a little lost on the way back the owner came out looking for me and was really nice about having to come to my aid .He was very helpful form start to finish will be back for sure .Can't recommend It enough 10 out of 10

Went there with my son for fishing i paid permit. Got nothing disappointed on this side but it's great place if you like outdoor BBQ
